As soon as you register, you can get in touch with the child you sponsor and you can write to them as much as you like. Getting news from someone, however distant they might be, can be very meaningful to the children.
Don’t hesitate to send pictures of yourself and your family, where you live, etc. Mail takes a week or two to be delivered. As a precaution, we recommend you don’t send large packages that might attract attention.
We organize visits to the project once a year in the spring. If you wish, we can deliver mail to the children when we go.
But you can also keep touch by sending an email to the child you sponsor at sassnp@gmail.com with the child’s complete name in the subject line of the email.
PLEASE NOTE that the children do not read or understand French so you must write to them in English.
In order to be fair to all the children, we would ask you to NOT send money directly to the child you sponsor. When we are there, we do group purchases to benefit everyone and, depending on donations, we take the children on outings.
